Our number one priority at Dahlonega Country Day is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for your child. Our staff is committed to going above and beyond to be sure all of our students are secure at all times. Our main entrance can only be accessed by imputing a distinct code that is unique for each parent. All guests are required to check in at the front office where their visit will be confirmed and their ID checked. All of our teachers are required to obtain a satisfactory fingerprint background check and must complete the Bright From the Start health and safety training. All of our teachers are CPR and First Aid certified and are familiar with our detailed emergency plan and playground safety plan.
Dahlonega Country Day has recently taken the extra step, beyond that required by the State, in recognizing and preventing sexual abuse. Darkness to Lights’ Stewards of Children training uses real people with real stories in order to show the true implications of sexual abuse and to better educate our teachers in recognizing the signs. All employees are required to complete this training.
